The Palestinian people have an opportunity to gain independence and have their own prosperous state ! This opportunity had never been given to them by anybody in the past (including their Jordanian and Egyptian brothers, who occupied them until 1967...). If the palestinians will miss this historic chance, they have no one to blame but themselves !!!

Although I would rather see Fatah than Hamas in power, I do hate voting for either of them. Might as well vote for Sara Palin who can match anyone for ignorance and irrationality. At least we know what she is from her exposure during the US presidential campaign.

So, when the PA and Hamas are in tough straits, they torture and kill each other and commit brutal crimes, and they think the rest of the world should excuse them, but they don’t give any latitude to a newly formed and desperate Israel when 1/3 of the world’s Jewish population (6 million) had just been murdered and Jewish refugees were not being allowed haven in virtually any country in the world, including the US Palestinian refugees are still trapped in UNRWA camps. A new approach is needed.
